HOPE MINISTRY

hope

Our Ministry

We believe in helping people live out their destiny in God. HOPE does this through offering support and guidance to families as well as the addict affected by drug abuse. Our advice to parents is to get help for their child’s drug problem before it is too late. The earlier the problem is dealt with, the greater the chance of success.

What we do

Our ministry is aimed at families affected by substance abuse. Abusing drugs and alcohol can often destroy families, values and lives. Addiction affects the lives of parents and partners just as painfully as it affects the addict themselves.

HOPE runs a support group meeting every Monday night at 7.30pm where parents become equipped to know what to look out for and how to set up boundaries. It is also an opportunity to realise that they are not alone in dealing with their problems, and to build up support systems.

HOPE also offers support to the substance abuser. They are catered for at the Monday night meeting as well. If the need arises, we are equipped to assist in placing them in a rehabilitation centre.

When we meet

We meet on Monday evenings at the Church at 7.30pm.

DIVORCE CARE MINISTRYdivorce care

Our Ministry

Divorce Care is a network of thousands of divorce recovery support groups that meet worldwide. Our goal is to help you find help for your hurts, discover hope for the future, and experience Gods healing.

You don’t have to go through it alone!

Sometimes you don’t have people around you who truly understand the pain the pain that your divorce has caused you, your family and your friends.

At Divorce Care, you will become part of a small support group of people who are also experiencing separation and divorce. You’ll meet others who understand what you are feeling and who will be able to offer you encouragement.

The leadership team understand how you feel and have a real concern for individuals who are experiencing separation and divorce.

We hold a weekly support group led by people who understand what you are going through.

You will learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.

We also run DIVORCE CARE FOR KIDS (DC4K) simultaneously.

Meeting times

We meet on Monday evenings at the Table View campus at 6.30pm, starting up on 19 July 2010.

Why a counselling service?

In each of our lives, there are times when we are overwhelmed by grief, pain or inner turmoil. At these times we need someone to stand alongside us and help us. In the New Testament book of Galatians (6.2), we are instructed, “to bear one anothers burdens”.

    FACING TOMORROW

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.

That’s the reason for GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.

Each griefshare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. The videos feature top experts on grief recovery, dramatic re-enactments about living with grief and real life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours.

During the small group discussion time, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn about their experiences and share your own.

    Meeting times:
