John 11:4 (MSG)
When Jesus got the message, he said “This sickness is not fatal. It will become an occasion to show God’s glory by glorifying God’s son”.
Day 11 – Do you REALLY believe God Can?
I really think that this miracle is more about the people that witnessed it than it is about Lazarus coming to life (which in itself is miraculous).
Everyone had lost hope even after Jesus told them that this was going to be an occasion to show off God’s glory.
Verse 37 shows us that people couldn’t understand how Jesus could let something like this happen to someone that he loved.
Don’t we sometimes feel like that?
‘God, if you love me, why am I going through this? Are you there?’
We have questions and feel like God is taking his time when actually God is wanting to put HIS POWER on display for us to grow even more in our faith and belief in WHO HE IS.
Lazarus was dead for 4 days before Jesus brought him to life - God is never late! He knows what he is doing.
Think on it:
Where have I doubted God? What reminders has he given me to keep on believing he is able?
